Florida has been home to Spanish, French, and British colonists over the first few hundred years after it was discovered by Europeans. Pick one nation and tell what influences it gave to Florida. Explain how Florida might be different if the American Revolution had not been successful and we still belonged to one of these European nations.
Your answer should be 5-10 complete sentences. You will be graded on spelling, grammar, and thoughtfulness.
If the revolution was not successful it would be like it was back then when nobody had freedom. The Americans would have to give all the land to the British and everyone would still be in war about what they want and how they want it. All the dads might to have to travel the seven seas and not be with their family. That is how I think it would be like.

The British made a big influence on Florida, and I am going to tell you why. First, they are loyal allies to the U.S.A. Next, the British left Florida after they won the war, because they thought that staying there would create more wars. They also helped the pioneers when they found this free land, by providing soldiers to help them guard it .
If the America revolution was not successful, we would not have all of the freedoms that we have today. We would not be able to freely vote for our own president , pick our own religion, or even pick our doctors. I hope this gives you an idea of what our country would be like if we had not won the war.

I think that the Spanish would influence Florida in many ways if they still ruled Florida. We would definitely speak Spanish, and we would have to follow their king. We would most likely have more pictures with Spanish people in them. Another important thing is that we probably wouldn't have the Statue of Liberty! We would also have to obey their laws, and there would be more people of the Catholic faith. There are undoubtedly many more things that would be changed, but now you can visualize how we would be very different.

The spanish have done a amazing job on Florida. We are very lucky to have this pretty area,it used to be named La Florida. The British were royal. And British won one of the wars.Maybe we wouldnt have the same personalety or the same looks if the British one to take over Florida.I am happy the Spanish or may I say Spain won to take over La Florida.[Florida].Now we are here having a amazing time at our homes and schools and same and sound with our families.

I LOVE how you worded everything. The Spanish is what I was about to pick, but I think the British did a little more for our state.

If the Britsh took over Florida today it might be different because Florida would not look like it is today. You know how we have
free speech? Well we would not if the Red Coats took over. You know how we have a president? Well they have a queen and they have to be ruled and on the other hand we have certain freedoms which is why Florida would be very different today if the British were still in control.

If the revolutionary war was lost we would be ruled by britain. Also we wouldn't be a whole new country. Spain mostly owned spain and took good care of it. The 13 colonies fought for independent freedom and if we lost the war we would be ruled by a king and queen. Great britain would treat us unfairly like if yo disagreed with the king you would be thrown in jail and worse things.

Spain influenced Florida by taking it over many times. Because of this, we see many pictures of Spanish explorers and generals. We also learn about Ponce de Leon and the others because they were credited for the discovery and conquest of Florida. Florida would be different if we lost the Revolutionary War because we under rule by the British and many of us probably wouldn't live here. Slavery would also probably still be allowed. This would change our lives a lot.

Over 200 years ago, Florida was owned by the British, French, and the Spanish. To me, the Spanish would make a big influence on Florida. We would have to speak a different language (Spanish) and eat different foods. Some of these foods maybe Paella, which is a seafood dish that can have chicken in it. Well, imagine now eating that on a daily-basis! We would have different bacteria in our water than we do in Florida. What if the British owned Florida? Well, British actually destroyed an escape for slaves to be free. So, maybe in the US our freedoms of religion, press, the right to vote for government, or freedom of speech wouldn't even be. If the French owned Florida, there would also probably be slaves still to this day.
Good thing we have our freedoms, rights, and a good Florida that's strong a beautiful. So, now you know what Florida would be like if these nations had ruled it.

Over two hundred years ago England owned Florida. Then there was a Revolutionary war to fight for Florida. If England would have won Florida, it would be way different! We may not even be here today all so we may not have the same food. There could still be slavery, maybe black and white would be separated. That is how different it would be if England won the Revolutionary war.

I think the Spainish would make the biggest influence to Florida and we would be different if we still belonged to the Spainish. We would be different like speaking another language and have different types of buildings. We would also wear different types of clothing and different foods. That is what it would be like if we were Spainish people. I am glad that we are Americans.

Florida has been owned by many people ,but by us having the revolutionary war, set Florida free. If we lost every thing would be out of balance. We would have to pay 100,000,000 for tax each. And you would have to work as hard as an ox in a field so this is some thing to think about. THINK!

I pick the spanish. The spainsh rulled Florida more then one time. They lost Florida in the Revolutionary war because of the threaty of Paris. That meant that British had won. So they went back to Spain so they wouldn't be killed. Thats what happen with Spain. If we were still under Spanish rule we would still have a king and they would be in charge of us. We would have to do what they say. Also, they would be richer than us and we wouldn't have a chance to fight and be free.

Florida was the only colony to stay loyal to england. Most of the colonies were fighting england. Most people in Florida fought against the Revolution. If it was not for the Revolution, Florida would still belong to England. We would have a queen. We would have to pay taxes to England.

I think the Spanish because the British destroyed Fort Mose and we would not have a religion, or the right to vote for a government. If the French ruled we would be slaves and I don't any body wants to be a slave because maybe we might work in the hot planting corn and French children would go to school and learn but we won't.

The Spanish came to seek more land. They were always trying to fight for more and more land. There were many wars caused in Florida because many people wanted Florida. Florida was pushed into the Revolutionary War when they didn't want to fight. We would be different if the Spanish still ruled our state because first of all we would only speak Spanish.

If the revolutionary war did not happen then Florida would still be part of the European countrys . Also the way that Florida would be different is that if the American Revolution didn't happen then florida would probly still be under the rule of the spainiards And the patriots would still have to pay taxes. Life would not be the same if we were still part of the European countrys.

if we belonged to the Europeon colonists we might have to be planting crops like corn everyday. They would probably not let us do blog like we do now everything would be different that we do . Some of us might be slaves for the king. Nothing would be how it is now.

The British influenced florida by taking care of it,but also betraying the people there. The British made the land owners move out to make there camp grounds. The British also gave the floridians armour and food, that made them happy. So the British took over Florida and was good to it. For some resons the revolutionaries did not like so they fought and the revolutionary war began.
